Actividade divertida e didáctica para as crianças :: Fun and didactic activity for kids

*********************************

Life around here has been intense lately. Between work, day-to-day responsibilities, motherhood and  a more accentuated "solo parenting" - which does not seem to be close to an end any time soon...

There is Salvador and then, there is cousin H too (who's enjoying half of her holiday with us, this year), two children, different ages, different tastes, different interests, different time schedules, different personalities...

It's summer, so we have to take the kids out to run and jump freely, watch the nature, breath fresh air, take them to the beach, to the pool, to the gardens and to all the playgrounds in the neighborhood.

There are no grandparents, babysitting or controlled recreation centres. Here there's only Sofia, giving her best every day to provide quality time to these two creatures full of life. It is an exhausting and very demanding task, but later on the day it's 200% worth it.
It is very rewarding to spend my days surrounded by pure minds and learn so much from them.

And in those times when I think to myself: Oh dear!! What am I going to do with them now? I  always surprise myself with another idea, testifying that ideas actually do not end, as long as we seek them.

That's the case of these wooden stamps, bought here for my crafts supply.

I tell you, it's been real fun!!!

H likes to find the right letters to build words, Salvador loves mimicking his cousin, especially the wetting of the stamp into the paint and then see its effect on the paper.

On the other hand this is a very didactic game - I am one of those who believes that learning without fun, sucks! - Yes, they get dirty, but at the same time H learns how to write new words that  I suggest to her and Salvador, without noticing, consolidates the alphabet when I tell him "now let's  find letter "X".
He also works his fine motor skills and practice "precious" patience to find what he's searching for.

But who cares? Isn't this just a game, after all?...
