Uma tarde com as meninas - An afternoon with the girls

Uma das minhas meninas das alianças e a sua irmã (emprestadas às terras africanas), vieram passar uns dias entre nós.  

Para atenuar um bocadinho as saudades pedi-as à mãe durante uma tarde e fizemos um programinha só nosso, começamos por dar um passeio a pé pelas redondezas onde elas se revezavam para empurrar o triciclo do Salvador, sempre tentando roubar mais uns minutos à outra...

De seguida coloquei-lhes um avental e foi hora de sujar as mãos e fazerem umas bolachinhas:

A - Sofia, já viste a bolacha da M? Está toda mal feita hehehehe...

M - Não está nada!!! As tuas estão todas feias!

(Para depois começarem a atirar farinha uma à outra, em altos risos).

Foi super engraçado vê-las francamente felizes, divertidas e todas orgulhosas com o resultado final para mostrar aos pais que se juntaram a nós para jantar mais tarde.

Eu olhava para elas e pensava, que é mesmo nas pequenas coisas que reside a felicidade...

One of my wedding ring bearers and her sister (loaned to the African lands), came to spend a few days among us. 

To reduce homesickness a little bit, I asked their mother to let them with me for an afternoon to have our "bounding time". 
We started by taking a walk through the neighborhood, where they took turns to push Salvador's tricycle, always trying to steal a few more minutes one another...

Then I got them an apron and it was time to get hands dirty and make some biscuits. 

A - Sofia, have you seen M's biscuit? It's all done wrongly hehehehe ... 

M - It is not! Yours are all ugly!! 

(To then start throwing flour one another, laughing loudly).

It was so great to see them that happy and having so much fun, all proud with the final result to show  to their parents, who joined for dinner later.

I looked at them and thought to myself that happiness does really live in the smallest things.

Lição: "Porque não importa o que se dá a uma criança, mas sim as experiências que se lhe proporcionam ."

Lesson: "Because it doesn't matter what you give to a child, but the experiences you provide them".
